Welcome !!!

...to the personal site of Filip Mattheeuws (that's me). Here you find an overview of the things that keep me busy (computers, webbuilding, travel, Turkey, the internet, history...), pictures, viewpoints, all kinds of contact-information (facebook, twitter, Google-Wave, address, email...), my blog, life in Turkey, my work, my house, friends and family ... You find links to interesting websites, articles, books, music. There's no real limit to the subjects, as long as they interest me. And that's a lot :-)

Another function of the site for me, is to experiment with webdesign. Because of its experimental nature, it can look unfinished and chaotic. But it should improve slowly. The latest change is the implementation of Drupal (see article).

What's new?

  • The lay-out of course. Thanks to Drupal !!!
  • I started my blog. One block on the left shows you the most recent posts, another block the different topics.

What's in the pipeline?

  • To migrate old blogposts to my site
  • A chapter about Turkey
  • Improving and restyling the navigation

By the way... The picture on the left is taken in the early 80's. You can see the old me working on the Commodore 64, one of the first home-computers on the market. It had a total memory of 64k, the screen was an old tv and the harddrive was a genuine tape-recorder. And do you also notice the old calculator on the right of the table? It was one of the first calculators one could program.
